How Rafflecopter Works as an Admin

Looking to run a giveaway with Rafflecopter? You've come to the right place :)

Rafflecopter allows you to customize and embed a giveaway entry form on your site that incentivizes your audience to perform tasks in exchange for entries into a sweepstakes.

If you want to run a giveaway on your website, blog, or Facebook page, you’ll sign into your Rafflecopter account and set up your new giveaway widget based around three main objectives:

  1. The prize you want to give away

  2. How you want your audience to participate

  3. Your giveaway’s time constraints

Once you’ve created your giveaway widget, you’ll be given an embed code which will allow you to place the giveaway on your website, blog, or Facebook page (with the Rafflecopter Facebook app). To give you an example of what the Rafflecopter widget looks like, below is a screenshot of a Rafflecopter widget embedded on the Rafflecopter home page:

With Rafflecopter, you can credit your audience with an entry into your giveaway by allowing them to be a fan of your Facebook page, tweet a message, follow you on Twitter, subscribe to your email list, take a short survey, etc. It’s up to you to decide how you want your audience to participate.

When your giveaway has completed, you’ll have access to the tools that will make selecting and announcing your giveaway’s winner(s) a piece of cake. During your promotion and after it’s over, you’ll be able to download all your entries (including entrants’ name, email, IP, timestamp, entry options, etc.) into an Excel spreadsheet with a single click.
